Research interests

I joined Rose’s Lab in November 2015 and I am currently working on targeting intracellular signalling molecules in human T cells as a viable strategy to improve adoptive T cell therapy. I am using CRISPR/Cas9 manipulation to delete expression of PTPN22 in primary human T cells to test whether that improves their anti-tumour effector function.

Main laboratory techniques

  • CRISPR/Cas9
  • Flow cytometry
  • In vitro culture
  • Transfection
  • Transduction
  • Molecular biology techniques

Additional activities

Since February 2017

Committee member of Edinburgh Cancer Immunology

Since November 2016

Immunology 3 Tutorials (Providing tutorial for group of 8-12 students)
